A Project Case in Nanjing, China
With the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT), RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology has become a core enabling technology across multiple industries. RFID allows automatic identification and data exchange through radio waves, without requiring physical contact or line-of-sight between the reader and tagged objects.
Today, RFID is widely applied in:
- Warehouse and inventory management
- Asset and archive tracking
- Library systems
- Vehicle and personnel management
This case study introduces how MyAntenna RF supported a warehouse management project in Nanjing by deploying an RFID access control system.

Customer Requirements
In this project, a system integrator in Nanjing was implementing a warehouse management solution for a large building materials manufacturer. The warehouse stored:
- Around 100 types of building materials
- Approximately 50,000 individual items
The customer required the system to support:
- Automatic inbound and outbound inventory counting
- Anti-theft control at warehouse exits
- High recognition accuracy under bulk movement conditions
RFID-Based Warehouse Access Control Solution
After understanding the project requirements, MyAntenna RF recommended an RFID access control solution combining:
- Dual-channel RFID gate readers (4-meter-wide warehouse entrance)
- RFID handheld terminals
- RFID electronic tags
- Barcode printers for auxiliary labeling
This configuration allowed seamless tracking of goods moving in and out of the warehouse while ensuring reliable security control.
During system testing, the warehouse processed approximately 150 items per inbound or outbound operation, with the RFID gate system achieving a 100% tag recognition rate.

System Advantages
The UHF RFID access control system provided by MyAntenna RF offers several technical advantages:
- Strong multi-tag reading capability
- Specially designed antenna with narrow horizontal beamwidth
- Accurate gate coverage with no blind zones
- Built-in alarm and buzzer for real-time security alerts
- Support for secondary development and system integration
Compared with traditional warehouse access control systems, RFID-based solutions are:
- Easier to deploy
- More efficient for bulk inventory movement
- More reliable for theft prevention and real-time tracking
Extended Applications
In addition to warehouse management, RFID access control systems can also be applied to:
- Library and archive management
- Personnel access and attendance tracking
- Asset management in factories and campuses
