The L1-40 TTL UART Laser Distance Sensor Module is intended for embedded integration where the host system handles power, protection, and mechanical mounting. It outputs distance data via TTL- UART output , enabling direct firmware integration with microcontrollers and embedded controllers.
With 1 mm resolution, repeatable performance, and an absolute accuracy model of ±(1 mm + D×0.5‰), the module supports automation tasks such as AGV distance feedback, positioning reference, and equipment travel monitoring. Multiple serial protocol options (Modbus RTU / ASCII / HEX) simplify integration into different control architectures.
For outdoor or harsh environments, environmental protection should be implemented at the system level (enclosure/cable/harness design), as the module itself is not an IP-rated sealed sensor.

- For long-range measurement (especially 80 m), reflective targets improve accuracy and stability.
- Performance may be affected under strong outdoor sunlight.
