L1-40 is a board-level phase-shift laser distance module for embedded systems. The host product is responsible for power protection, EMC/ESD, mechanical fixation, and environmental sealing.
The module outputs distance frames via TTL UART for direct MCU/SoC integration. Protocol options (Modbus RTU / ASCII / HEX) reduce firmware adaptation effort across different control stacks.
Metrology: 1 mm resolution, ±1 mm repeatability, and an absolute accuracy model of ±(1 mm + D×0.5‰). Output rate selectable 10/20 Hz (default 20 Hz), suitable for real-time motion feedback.
This is not an IP-rated sealed sensor. For outdoor or harsh environments, use enclosure + optical window + harness strain relief at system level.
Application fields: AGV/AMR distance feedback, positioning reference, equipment travel/stroke monitoring, OEM embedded measurement modules.

MyAntenna phase-shift laser distance sensors operate based on optical measurement principles. Therefore, all application design and operational considerations should strictly follow the fundamental characteristics of light, including reflection, transmission, and related optical behaviors.
Under static measurement conditions against a white wall at a distance of 3 meters in an indoor environment, the phase-shift laser distance sensor achieves an accuracy of ±1 mm. The maximum measurement frequency is up to 20 Hz for TTL interface versions, while RS485 and analog 4–20 mA interface versions typically support a maximum data update rate of approximately 10 Hz.
The maximum supported measuring range is up to 80 meters, provided that a reflective target is installed at the measurement point.
Reducing the measurement range does not result in improved accuracy. In addition, different output interfaces provide different data transmission rates. In descending order of data speed, the interfaces are:
TTL > RS232 > RS485 > 4–20 mA analog current output.
