The L1-40 laser distance sensor module is a compact TTL-output ranging solution designed for embedded control and industrial automation tasks. Based on visible 650 nm laser technology, it delivers stable distance measurement from 0.05 m to 40 m with millimeter-level resolution.
Operating from a 5 V DC supply, the module achieves low power consumption while supporting sampling rates up to 20 Hz, making it suitable for continuous real-time monitoring. The TTL UART interface allows direct integration with MCUs, embedded controllers, and industrial computers without additional signal conversion.
With an absolute accuracy of ±(1 mm + D×5‰) and repeatability of ±1 mm, the L1-40 performs reliably in dimensional measurement, positioning feedback, and object distance detection. The optical system uses a Class 1 eye-safe laser with a small spot size, ensuring safe operation and precise targeting.
Designed for indoor and controlled industrial environments, the module operates across a temperature range of −10 °C to +50 °C. Its compact PCB form factor enables easy mechanical integration into OEM devices, automation equipment, and custom sensor assemblies.
Typical applications include industrial automation, AGV/AMR distance sensing, equipment positioning, smart manufacturing systems, and embedded measurement solutions.
